  1. Murray0:00It wasn't a forest, it was a garden.
  2. 0:03There was a path, spiralling towards a central point - a stone at its heart, pulsing with light.
  3. 0:09The light became the roots, became the forest, and rose up to the sky.
  4. Bowe0:13So? We're describing something alien, we don’t understand how this world behaves…
  5. Murray0:18But the fundamental rules still apply.
  6. 0:21Carbon bonded to oxygen, magnetic induction creates electrical flow...
  7. 0:25...and if the basic rules of physics, why not the basic rules of nature? Competition, evolution.
  8. 0:31What does a gardener do? She gives one part of nature an edge over another.
  9. 0:36And I am telling you - something more than nature made that forest grow.

The game's own subtitles, with the time each line starts. Spoken in: English, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Chinese.

On the raised office platform with the teal carpet, reached by the short stairs with teal railings. The tape recorder sits at the end of the angled desk covered in yellow notes, on the dark cabinet where the railing turns the corner.

Walk up to the tape recorder (within 1.5 m) and interact with it. Its light turns yellow while the recording plays, and you can play it again as often as you like.
