Dr Dahne

He built the shrinking and enlarging machines and shrank his temporary quarters into a hut for Clive. Murray says that instead of redefining material science, Dahne made a hook and a goop gun; Dahne himself writes that the organisms in them are symbiotic and bond to one "provider". His journal calls Norček's account of the rifts, created in 1945 when a displaced castle possessed by a demon king was destroyed, "utter rot". A doctor writes that he dreams of red mist and hears voices offering him a life beyond the rift; by the time you arrive he is only the "former" Head of Research.
