Por fin tuve noticias de mi mamá. Los médicos dicen que quieren operarla, pero con los apagones nadie sabe cuándo será seguro hacerlo. ¿Y si se va la luz mientras mi mamá está ahí en la mesa? ¿Y si tienen que conectarla a un equipo para que respire?

I finally heard from my Mum. The doctors say they want to operate, but with the blackouts, they don’t know when it’ll be safe to try. What happens if the lights go out while Mum’s lying there? What happens if they need to put her on a machine to help her breathe?
