If scando advena will revolutionise construction, fulmen advena will redefine electricity. Imagine it - no more heavy copper cables, but a plant, delicate as a leaf, strong as spider silk, carrying high current across huge distances, and storing charges in fruit which can be picked and transported independently. The power networks of the future won't be built - they'll be grown.
